First Step Trading was started with the sole purpose of helping people to gain a good knowledge of trading global financial markets.

Thousands of people dive in each year, open an account, watch the flashing lights and feel the exhilaration of placing their first trade.

Within a few days they have usually had a couple of very small winners coupled with one or two big losses that stop them in their tracks.

The trouble with this is that it not only depletes their trading funds but also ingrains bad habits and can quickly demotivate them.

Determined to find the key to a wonderful life of trading and financial freedom they then buy a few books on charting and candlestick formations convincing themselves that they have now found the Holy Grail and the reason why they lost last time. So, they fund their account again with more money and greater determination and, you guessed it, the same thing happens again but maybe this time they lasted a few weeks before the account was blown. For many people this can go on for 3, 4, 5 times or more over a period of months or years (in my case!) before they either run out of money or finally realise what they are doing wrong. Usually by this time they have lost thousands of pounds, spent hundreds of pounds on books and tips from an online ‘crypto millionaire’ as well as hundreds of pounds on various courses, many of which don’t provide the information needed to trade with confidence.

As someone who has done all of the above, many times, and survived, I wanted to share this knowledge and experience to save people from losing so much money and the devastating psychological damage. Most importantly, I want to teach you so much in a day that has taken me years (and lots of money) to discover. Whether you are able to trade during the day or only in the evening, whether you have limited funds or large amounts, there will be something for everyone.

The Venue

I wanted a venue for people to come to that is relaxing, easy to get to and conducive to learning, Woodhaven Space certainly provides that and more. The day itself begins at 10am with teas / coffees available all day from 9.45am. Buffet lunch will aim to start at 1pm with the day finishing approximately 5.30pm but could be later if there are more questions to answer.

Do let us know when you book if there are any specific dietary requirements / allergies to certain foods etc.

We aim for this to be a fun day and jam packed with so much info for you to look at and learn so please bring pens / writing pad / highlighters etc with you. We want you to feel comfortable so if that means you turning up in tracksuit bottoms and slippers…perfect!
